Provides direct interpreting services in a variety of settings on campus, in the community, throughout the local region and statewide, using communication appropriate to the language and intent of the speaker and interprets/transliterates the consumer's communication in English appropriate to the language and intent of the signer. Interprets on an assigned basis in interpreting for special events such as conferences, special meetings, workshops, and other activities. Assist in maintaining the statewide interpreter referral services including taking requests, preparing billing, tracking, customer services, and reports preparation for assignments completed; maintains timely and critical communication statewide with both full time and contract interpreters to fulfill requests as well as customers on request status; maintains records and schedules; performs cost analysis functions when determining staffing for request; communicates status of completed requests including changes in billing time, no shows and/or any customer service issuses.Bachelor's Degree in interpreting, American Sign Language, Special Education, or related field and one (1) year interpreting experience or AA Degree in interpreting and three (3) years' experience or high school diploma and three (3) years interpreting experience and at least one of the following: RID certification, EIPA score of 3.5 or greater, SLPI score pf Advance Plus or greater, or any other nationally recognized interpreter qualification.If selected for an interview, please provide verification of your highest level of education (e.i., copy of BA Degree, high school diploma, college transcript) and if applicable, licensure and/or certification (e.i., nursing licensure, teacher licensure, bus driver certification).
