These positions are located at Department of Mental Health/Columbia Area Mental Health Center, Emergency Services-Mobile Crisis, CAMHC #196 and 323.
Under general supervision, provides advanced level of crisis management services in accordance with center policies and procedures. Provide services in a patient-centered approach to care. Complete and submit clinical documentation that is clear, concise, and focuses on patient-driven care.
Coordinate with key community stakeholders, doctors' offices, other organizations to provide education information on Mobile Crisis, CAMHC, mental illness, and participate in community outreach events.
Provides C-20's and comprehensive and advanced level mental health assessments for the purpose of initiating a service plan for each patient that will include but is not limited to: determining provisional diagnosis, identifying the level of service addressing patient needs/goals, barriers to treatment, safety planning, providing evidence-based clinical interventions, and speedy disposition. Perform the functions of a center mental health treatment provider in an efficient manner.
State Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
Experience working with severe and persistent mentally ill adult clients. Licensure preferred; licensure supervision available.
Agency Prefers: A master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences and one (1) year or more post graduate counseling experience of which must have been in a clinical setting. Must be eligible to become a licensed notary in South Carolina.
