What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Professional I - Mobile Crisis position at State of South Carolina?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Provides emergency assessments of patients experiencing crisis. Conducts face to face consultations as needed, arriving on-site no later than 60 minutes after the receipt of call. Participates in on-call rotation.2. Formulates level of care and disposition. Educates patients on community resources and make arrangements for immediate disposition regarding transfers and referrals. Serves as a provider of the crisis intervention, by administering brief individual and/or family therapy to address crisis and identify triggers for crisis behavior to include development of crisis safety plan up to initiating the process of involuntary commitment.
3. Participates in individual supervision, PRN, and daily treatment staffing. Serves as liaison to local CMHC to provide updates on SCDMH patients.
4. Complies with all applicable Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance, and Cultural Competence policies, procedures and regulations, and all Federal and State laws as well as attend all trainings classified mandatory by Federal & State regulations. Engages in additional trainings to maintain professional development. Shall comply with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing their job duties.
5. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requires frequent travel in assigned region, occasional in-state travel, and minimal overnight travel. This position primarily works a combination of day shift, on-call coverage, and allows flexibility. Sitting or standing for long periods of time. Lifting requirement of 20 lbs. Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies,

Tri-County CMHC is also an approved site of the National Health Service Corps, (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment of up to $50,000 to employees of NHSC-approved sites. You must be a US citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired, and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans.
