Job Duties:
- The Procurement Specialist II procures a variety of goods and services as assigned by the Purchasing Director.
- Ensures timely processing of requisitions to create shopping carts and purchase orders through SCEIS SRM (Supplier Relationship Manager). Performs complex procurement of goods and services within agency certification as needed. Ensures compliance with the SC Consolidated Procurement Code. Assists with drafting and editing agency's purchasing manual.
- Assists with maintaining the Budget Control Number Log on SharePoint to ensure all Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders are appropriately recorded for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Assists with document management, including filing, retention scheduling, and online storage. Oversees the OnBase filing system to ensure accurate and consistent filing.
- Works closely, ethically, and effectively with DSS personnel and vendors on orders to ensure proper specifications are requested and attained.
- Provides DSS staff with help resolving procurement issues. Assists as needed with statewide and regional training. Performs other procurement-related duties as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for required work experience.
A Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Professional Public Officer (CPPO), or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) may be substituted for one year of qualifying experience.
