JOB SUMMARY: Plans and coordinates Science Outreach activities to expand the K-12 South Carolina Science pipeline and foster greater public appreciation and understanding of science. Reports to the Director of Science Outreach. Performs other duties as assigned to assist with outreach programming.JOB DUTIES: 40% - Essential - Plans and coordinates public and K-12 outreach events in support of strategic priorities for the College of Science (i.e. outreach activities at STEM festivals and STEM Nights at local schools and established Clemson Outreach programs such as Tiger Talks Science and the CU-REACH tutoring program at Littlejohn Community Center).30% - Essential - Assists with the preparation and implementation of Science Outreach Center STEM Camps and STEM field trip labs, including managing the Science Outreach Center registration system and communications to enroll participants in Science Outreach Center programming.10% - Essential - Leads the recruitment, training, and support of Clemson undergraduate, graduate, faculty, & staff volunteers to carry out Clemson Science Outreach events.10% - Essential - Maintains outreach supply inventory by coordinating with STEM specialists and the Director to determine needed supplies and place supply orders.10% - Essential - Promotes Science Outreach events on social media and the Science Outreach Center website.
