The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) is the state agency that plans, develops, coordinates, and funds services for South Carolinians with the severe, lifelong disabilities of:
Under limited supervision, performs professional accounting duties related primarily to the agency's regional banking and billing system and Capital Projects. Also responsible for the reconciliation of the various trust funds. Performs yearly reporting package requirements. Prepares and/or analyzes various cost/payment documents for agency services. Maintains compilation of data necessary for cost reporting submission. Updates spreadsheets weekly/monthly for various statistics that can be used within the agency for not only cost reports but for upper management to assist them in making sound decisions regarding the operations of the agency.

- spinal cord injury and similar disability
Under limited supervision, performs professional accounting duties related primarily to the agency's regional banking and billing system and Capital Projects. - Responsible for the overall operations of the agency's Regional Banking System including providing technical support, serving as liaison between software vendor and regional finance staff, ensuring the system is available for the users and is operating properly, and generating accurate and timely financial information. Supervise the regional banking functions performed by regional finance staff to ensure that the regions are recording transactions properly and performing operational tasks correctly. Reviews the region bank reconciliation and coordinates with the State Treasurer's Office. Review Regional Bank Reconciliation monthly.
- Effectively communicate with the Engineering Division ensuring that invoices and purchase orders are done in a timely manner. Reconcile projects to ensure that expenditures are recorded correctly in the system. Complete cash draws in accordance with the State Treasurer's Office policies. Complete opening and closing paperwork for the A-1 forms to ensure the Engineering Division has correct coding on all projects.
- Support the General Ledger Division in the year end reporting packages.
- To prepare electronic download of the MMIS payment into SCEIS.
- Responsible for the compilation of data for DDSN. Provides support for the Leadership team providing various analysis regarding system wide utilization of services offered and billed per W99 activity. Provides support regarding provider cost reports and the central office overall cost report through maintaining and creating various spreadsheets in which to summarize this data. Logs receipts of various provider reports that are received monthly, quarterly and annually. Assists with analyzing outlier requests and residential band request changes. Reviews ongoing data submission for outliers and reports to their supervisor any incomplete data and making recommendations based on the data received. Providing final recommendations of the subsequent data to the Director of Account and Contracts for justification of increased funding.

Salary : $46,655 - $66,488
