The Department of Administration's Division of Enterprise Applications is seeking a Training Coordinator II/Instructor to join our team. We are in growth mode, and it is an exciting time to be a contributing member to SC Enterprise Information System (SCEIS)! SCEIS is the backbone of our business processes, and ultimately empowers decision makers to improve government for the citizens. In this role you will develop and deliver learning experiences for SCEIS end-users. Ensure all materials are up to date and align with system changes. Assist the SCEIS Director of Learning and Development with enhancing the administration of the learning management system (MySCLearning), eLearning content, simulation programs, and systems.
Responsibilities of the Training Coordinator II/Instructor:
- Based on business area assigned by the SCEIS Director, use approved materials to conduct SCEIS end-user training for State employees, conduct training with an interactive, learner-centered focus to ensure that users complete the training with a better understanding of covered material so that they can perform relevant business transactions in SCEIS.
- Use e-learning tools, test environments, process simulations, and work with assigned SCEIS subject matter expert team members in one-on-one sessions and as a training facilitator, to develop training materials for State end-users training and production support.
- Collaborate with the SCEIS Director to review and improve processes related to the administration of the learning management system (e.g. MySCLearning, e-learning programs (e.g. Camtasia, Captivate, Presenter)) and other SCEIS training tools.
- Review assessment results and course evaluations for anomalies and suggest corrective measures.
- Collaborate with SCEIS Director functional team leads, SCEIS instructors and technical team to review training materials/details and ensure that systems are prepared for training participants by testing class exercises and demonstrations.
- Coordinate the STARs certification program to include marketing, application process, maintain a question/scenario bank, awards ceremony, etc.
- Collaborate with the SCEIS Director, functional team leads, SCEIS instructors and technical team to create training communications (e.g. Weekly updates, schedule changes, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree related to training, teaching, education, instructional design, or human resources and experience related to training adult learners. Must have experience in developing training materials and coordinating and conducting training. Relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
- Must be able to gather and interpret technical information and develop clear and accurate training materials for end users and special constituents.
- Must be able to manage multiple ongoing tasks and meet established deadlines.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to coordinate various schedules and logistics for stakeholder meetings.
- Knowledge or Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
- Knowledge of learning management systems and eLearning authoring programs are also required.
- Working knowledge of South Carolina business processes (e.g. Human Resources) Is preferred.
