The Division of Fleet Operations is seeking a new Vehicle Services Center Specialist to work from home to authorize and track repairs on state-owned vehicles. If you have experience in the automotive service industry and customer service (especially in a call-center), apply today!
Our Vehicle Service Center is a 24/7 call-center to make sure state employees can always get help when needed. Employees in this role will work in a home office for 8 hours Monday - Friday, as well as providing after-hours on-call support as needed. (Overtime is not guaranteed. Schedules will be adjusted to maintain a 40-hour work week.)
Training will take place at the Taylorsville State Office Building at 4315 South 2700 West, Taylorsville, Utah. Lodging (If needed) will be provided during training if the new hire lives more than 75 miles from the Taylorsville State Office Building. After training, you will work from home!

Principal Duties
As a Vehicle Services Technician, you will:
- Answer in-bound calls from maintenance vendors and state employees regarding emergency repair, towing, and preventative service requests.
- Approve or deny maintenance requests based on vehicle needs, repair history, and contract requirements.
- Enter information and work orders into database to track requests and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Monitor repair history to watch for patterns, to ensure quality of repairs.
The best candidates for this job will have:
- 3 or more years in customer service.
- 5 or more years in the automotive service industry.
- The ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Experience using automated computer programs, such as Microsoft Office and databases.
- An Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.
- Proven experience or higher education in Automotive Service Technology.
- Experience working in a call-center.
- Experience working in the automotive parts industry.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; work may require some physical exertion such as periods of standing; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities.
Salary : $18 - $30
