The Division of Licensing and Background Checks (DLBC) is looking to hire a Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) Specialist.
Employee serves as a resource to DLBC staff by receiving and processing numerous, simultaneous requests for public records through the state-wide Utah Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) database and assisting the division in designing the proper responses to requests. Coordinates and assists DLBC staff and management with responses to GRAMA requests and subpoenas. Responsible for tracking time critical deadlines and responding within the allotted time. Input data on computerized systems and maintain case files. The employee may prioritize inquiries and complaints for proper routing and receive/research/respond to incoming questions or complaints

Example of Duties
As a GRAMA Specialist you will:
- Provide administrative support.
- Receive and process simultaneous requests for public records through the state-wide Utah Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA).
- Enter data into a computer system and retrieve, correct, or delete previously entered data.
- Archive records according to their retention and classification schedule
Typical Qualifications
The model candidate for these positions is someone who:
- Is knowledgeable working with Google Docs and Microsoft Office
- Has completed the Records Officer Certification approved by the State Archives
Preference
Preference may be given to applicants with experience using Google Docs, and/or the State's social welfare database system SAFE and/or is a GRAMA Officer, and/or has at least two years clerical experience working in an office.
Supplemental Information
- Risks found in typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Travel may be required.
