What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, JPEC position at State of Utah?
The Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission (JPEC) is seeking an intern to assist with courtroom observation this summer.
JPEC uses surveys, courtroom observation, and other data collection efforts to evaluate the performance of judges for voters. It is now. It is now working on completing courtroom observations for judges that will be on the ballot next fall. This internship position will consist of:
Conducting courtroom observations, and
Helping with data entry
And other duties as assigned
This internship may also involve some travel to courtrooms. Mileage will be reimbursable at state rates.
By participating in the internship, the intern will gain:

Interest in learning about the state judicial system
Effective time management and organization kills
The intern should be prepared to work in a small team environment, be self-motivated, organized, enthusiastic, and possess good communication skills (both oral and written). Precision and detail orientation are critical. Hours are flexible (to accommodate school and holidays) and can mostly be performed remotely, if desired.
