Transportation Operations Specialist

Job Overview

The State of Vermont is seeking a Transportation Operations Technician I to join our dedicated team. Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

No education or experience is required, but applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.

A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for the successful completion of original probation, and you must complete all VTTC required coursework within six months or be enrolled.

Work Environment and Hazards

Duties require working in extreme outdoor weather conditions, and employees may be exposed to heavy equipment, hazardous materials, and roadside litter.

An incumbent must be able to use tools and equipment commonly used for maintenance work as well as lift materials commonly used in maintenance work.

Considerable overtime work is required, particularly during the winter months, and is considered a condition of employment.
