Job Summary
The State of Vermont is seeking a Transportation Operations Technician II. As a critical member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our highway network.
This position requires strong physical abilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You must be available for considerable overtime during heavy snowfall or other emergencies.
You will be responsible for various tasks related to highway maintenance, including repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more. In the winter months, this position will also assist with plowing and salting.

Your estimated salary is $60,000 - 70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
This position is eligible for a sign-on and retention bonus of up to $2000 Newly hired CDL and non-CDL holders who are hired into permanent maintenance worker or mechanic job on or after July 3, 2022 are eligible.
