In this position, you will operate a 28-foot tandem axle commercial truck and / or tractor trailer with air brakes to deliver raw materials and finished goods and / or recyclable items to DMV Customer Service Centers, DMV Selects, and Weigh Stations. This position performs a variety of duties within the DMV warehouse which includes receiving, storage, order picking, shipping, inventory, salvage processing, and maintaining workflow while adhering to safety, productivity, and customer service standards for both internal and external customers.Responsibilities Include :
- Traveling overnight throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia to deliver critical operating supplies
- Generating all required paperwork including vouchers, receipt documents, delivery logs, mileage reports, and return vouchers for both short and long trips
- Reviewing requisitions to determine assembly, packing, loading, and distribution of supplies and critical items
- Maintaining logs and records of stock items received and shipped and coordinate with the ASA Management Analyst Sr. to review and discuss revised, deleted, or new forms to manage the inventory accuratelyMinimum Qualifications
- Ability to travel overnight for periods of a week or more throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia is required
- Ability to drive for long periods of time and work long days exceeding 8 hours
- Must possess a Class A Virginia Commercial Driver's License (CDL), including the air brake knowledge test
- Must possess and maintain a clean driving record
- Working knowledge of warehouse receiving, shipping, storage, order picking, inventory control, and record keeping techniques and procedures
- Experience performing minor automotive repairs
- Skilled in the safe and efficient use of an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, hand truck, and stand-up and sit-down riding forklifts
- Experience counting and inspecting received goods and detecting defects and discrepancies
