Location: Aberdeen, WA | Stafford Creek Correctional Center (SCCC) | Daily on-site attendance is required for this position.
Closes: February 9th, 2025
Salary: $3,028- $3,999 Monthly. This position receives an on-site 24/7 facility 5% premium which is not included in the salary listed above.
The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is looking for a Custodian 2 to play a pivotal role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our Juvenile Rehabilitation residential facilities for young offenders at the newly established Emerging Adults Leadership Program located at Stafford Creek Correction Center (SCCC).

The Opportunity:
We need your experience at Emerging Adults Leadership Program located at Stafford Creek Correction Center (SCCC) to perform a variety of custodial tasks and routine cleaning of our facility buildings. Your experience is critical in enhancing the appearance of our facility, while providing comfort to our residents. Some of what you'll do:
- Respond to staff requests.

Clean various buildings, offices and rooms at the facility which may involve moving
furniture. - Clean and sanitize showers, restrooms, and toilet facilities.
- Keep buildings properly supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, soap and other items.
- Sweep, mop, clean walls, and woodwork.
- Dust furniture, curtains, and equipment.
- Empty and clean wastebaskets
- Polish furniture and metal fixtures.

Direct, train and work with residents and staff and coordinate with staff while
participating in the Resident Work Program.
Required qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
AND
Have six months of previous work experience.
In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have the following:
Six months or more experience in custodial, general, or building maintenance, grounds keeping, or semi-skilled, carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing repair work.
