What to Expect
Among the varied range of responsibilities assigned to this role, the Fiscal Analyst 4 will:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial reporting for state toll revenue accounts.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of toll financial information.
- Perform reviews of reconciliations prepared by third party vendors for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform internal reconciliations of toll financial activity.
- Reconcile daily cash activity.
- Develop and review complex financial reports.
- Implement agency management financial decisions.
Qualifications
- Four (4) years of experience in a financial field.

Additional competencies include the ability to:
- perform senior level financial analysis of accounting data in accordance with GAAP, Federal and state regulations, and WSDOT policy
- analyze, interpret, and reconcile data from different financial systems.
- independently navigate, query, update, and prepare complex financial entries in WSDOT’s financial system
- recognize and resolve difficult and complex accounting problems
- work independently and make independent decisions within scope of responsibility
- complete all assignments accurately and timely
- work effectively as part of a high-functioning team
- manage workload where priorities can change frequently
It is preferred that qualified candidates also have:
- Government experience.
- Experience with WSDOT financial systems.
- Experience with the statewide accounting system AFRS.
- A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 18 quarters or 12 semester hours in accounting (additional experience may substitute for degree, but not for accounting credits).
