Under close supervision, this individual will be responsible for supporting all lines of business within the WorkSource center, demonstrating readiness and capability to serve a diverse range of customers. They should have strong computer, communication, and customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners.
NOTE: This non-permanent position may last up to six months.
The successful candidate will provide direct services to both jobseekers and employers, acting as a vital link within the center. They will represent our agency with professionalism and commitment, ensuring a blend of service delivery to all customers.
Duties
This role directly supports the mission of ESD by fostering connections between employers and jobseekers. The candidate will be passionate about workforce development and committed to our goal of creating successful employment matches.
Perform simple to routine supporting work following standard procedures such as:
- Conduct individual interviews to articulate program services and activities.
- Explain agency programs, services, policies, and procedures; answer basic questions,
- Answer phone calls and direct to programs teams; provide timely response and services
Provide basic services and information in the resource area such as:
- Conduct a basic review to determine initial service options.
- Assist in the direction of customer flow virtually and in-person.
- Assist customers in accessing and utilizing WorkSourceWA website.
Perform records management functions such as:
- Collect, verify, and enter information into multiple data systems to report and track services provided.
- Record and maintain database notes, service plans, and exit outcomes.
- Coordinate with other employment and training programs as necessary.

Qualifications
OR
A Bachelor's degree in social science, business administration or related field and one year of professional experience in workforce development, social or human resource services, public relations, or professional public contact work.
OR
A combination of education and/or relevant experience.
AND
Occasionally communicate effectively in person, via telephone, and in writing in Spanish and English.
Education to Experience Equivalences:
A Master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Special Requirements/Conditions of Employment:
Must be able to pass an Unemployment Insurance (UI) claim benefit and Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) claim and fraud check review.
