Fiscal Analyst 3 Employee & Business Support Services Administration – Business Services Headquarters |Tumwater, WAThis is a project position with an anticipated end date of July 2028.The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Fiscal Analyst 3 at Headquarters in Tumwater, Washington, on a full-time basis. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Duties may include but are not limited to: Accounting and general ledger analysis for Medicaid TransformationPosition will perform specialized fiscal duties related to the Medicaid Transformation Project.Oversee and track financial activity for the Medicaid Transformation Project, ensuring accurate maintenance of accounts, through reconciliation processes, and record the entry and compilation of fiscal transactions.Position will assist with the implementation and operation of cash flow, cash management or investment programs.Provides excellent customer service.Monitor the Financial Executor Portal for payments through the portal to draw down the funds and disburse to appropriate expenditures.Monitor monies received from Healthcare Authority (HCA) and report on expenditure per HCA request.Actively communicate with other agencies assigned to the Medicaid Transformation Project.Federal grant monitoring assistanceAssist grant Fiscal Analyst 4 with Federal Grant expenditures and revenues.Prepare housing vouchers A19s relating to federal grants and send to the Disbursement unit for processing.Assists with grant credit card journal vouchers.Review, combine documents, and prepare monthly A19s for grant billings before fiscal month close.Assists with grants fiscal month end close activities.Process JVs relating to grant discrepancies.Assist with transfer of monthly expenditures for HQ purchasing cards by fiscal month close. Track fraud charges statewide using general ledger subsidiaries. Collaborate with purchasing staff on recurring errors found with coding. Assist coordination of fiscal month/year closing activities. Assist within FCU with general ledger analysis or accounting tasks as needed.Other duties as assigned
