Our Human Resources Division is recruiting for a Human Resources Consultant with expertise in building trust, providing guidance on complex topics, helping people work through and resolve conflicts to join their team. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As a Human Resources Consultant, you will be responsible for providing consistent and legally defensible risk-based HR consultation to agency executives, managers, supervisors, and employees regarding highly complex and multidimensional issues. Your ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a people-focused approach will be key to your success as you respond to difficult, stressful, or sensitive interpersonal situations in ways that reduce or defuse potential conflict and mitigate risk to the agency. Your work will directly contribute to our agency's mission of helping every Washington resident live, work, drive, and thrive.Some of what you will do: Build, maintain, and enhance effective business & professional relationships, within, across, and external to the agency.Provide advice and guidance related to employee misconduct, performance management, and cases of reasonable suspicionCollaborate with managers, supervisors, and employees to identify and facilitate training requirements in areas such as HR topicsCoordinate with other HR professionals and HR leadership on allegations of workplace misconduct that may require formal investigation.
