This is a project position that has an anticipated end date of February 2026.This position is scheduled for telework but may need to report to the office in Olympia, WA a few times a year.The ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance-Journey position is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in software quality assurance and test automation. This individual will possess a deep understanding of creating and implementing test automation frameworks that align with industry standards and support automated testing and deployment processes.They will be adept at analyzing, measuring, and determining the quality of code introduced into release candidates, ensuring that all work is thoroughly documented and approved before implementation. Their strong communication skills will enable effective collaboration with test personnel, users, developers, and customers to facilitate quick resolution of problems and accurate documentation of successes.The candidate will demonstrate exceptional proficiency in developing and implementing methods to automatically detect and notify developers of anomalies in software quality, including security, performance, compatibility, and functionality. They will be responsible for reporting test results to leadership for go/no-go decision-making and providing frequent feedback to developers for continuous improvement. Additionally, the candidate will have a proven track record of developing test automation solutions, including code and code review processes, and creating regression test suites to ensure system quality is maintained across all environments.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Plan, analyze, build, and execute tests for highly complex mission critical applications and information systems. This includes: Analyze functional, non-functional, and technical requirements to determine and define testing scope.Implement and maintain comprehensive and well-structured test cases and test scripts for manual and automated tests using a variety of software development/collaboration tools, platforms and languagesPerform manual and automated end to end testing of systems and other software applications under the portfolioAutomate processes to create a high level of assurance of software quality, reduce delivery risk, and support automated software delivery in alignment with Agency Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This includes: Independently create test automation framework that supports WSS QA processes and aligns with agency standards including automated testing and deployment. Establish methods to analyze, measure, and make determination what code is introduced into a release candidate. Work closely with team members to complete bug defectsDevelop test automation solutions including code and code review process. This includes: Create test automation solutions including solution design, development, testing, and deployment for test tools.
