We have received a hire exception to recruit for a full-time, permanent Secretary Senior vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Okanogan Field Office located at 243 Pine Street, Okanogan, WA, 98840.
Under general direction of the Community Corrections Supervisor (CCS), this position provides direct, complex secretarial services to the CCS and Community Corrections Officers (CCOs).

- Organize, prioritize, and documents information related to the management of field and electronic files.
- Greet and interact with incoming visitors and clients by phone, email, or in-person and direct them to the appropriate staff.
- Enter and retrieve information from various databases such as the Offender Management Information System (OMNI).
- Provide technical support to staff regarding Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
- Manage and archive field files.
- Order and purchase office supplies.
- Oversee office equipment and vehicle maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of increasingly responsible office experience requiring keyboarding or typing.
- And must possess and maintain an unrestricted vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Washington.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Must respect and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback and criticism.
- Ability to rapidly solve problems, work independently, and communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, clients, and the public.
- Ability to use and provide technical assistance with various computer programs, software, intra/internet, and agency and online database systems.
- Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and handle complaints promptly and courteously.
- Ability to proofread written material to identify appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Experience working with a diverse population in difficult situations and circumstances.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.

- Salary is based on experience and is determined at the time an offer of employment is made. The salary listed in the job posting includes Steps A-M. Step M is a longevity step and is typically gained six years after being assigned to Step L in your permanent salary range.
