Nature of Work
Under limited supervision, the Asthma Project Director will work collaboratively with the project investigator and project staff to achieve grant deliverables for the Asthma grant. The incumbent will represent the Title V agency as the subject matter expert of the Title V priority health issues concerning asthma related health concerns. To facilitate adherence to federal/state regulations and standards, the Asthma Project Director will work with sub-recipients and other key stakeholders to ensure the EXHALE strategies and activities are developed and implemented. This position will serve as the nurse liaison to partners and programs to guide clinical and educational aspects related to asthma. The incumbent will make recommendations regarding nursing policies and protocols to programs administered within the Office of Maternal, Child and Family Health (OMCFH), and selection of state initiatives and priorities for improvement. This position will provide oversight and guidance for educational materials and clinical aspects of the work to improve linkages and coordination of care.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse.
OR
Successful completion of an Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program and six years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a registered professional nurse.
OR
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
Special Requirement: Current West Virginia license or temporary permit to practice as a registered professional nurse.
