This position currently has the flexibility to work remotely up to five days per week. Additional time in the office may be required depending on training and operational needs. Position Summary
This position will be responsible for performing complex enterprise-wide functions pertaining to benefits administration affecting 30,000 or more State employees. This position will be responsible for the coordination of major benefit processing functions, provide daily support to state agency payroll and benefits staff, and work as a liaison with benefit plan vendors. This position assists in policy development and administration and participates in updates to the benefits administration module within the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system.

Salary Information
Starting hourly rate for the Payroll and Benefits Systems Coordinator position (schedule/range 81-04) will be $29.00 per hour - $32.47 per hour, depending on qualifications. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Job Details

Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience with each of the following:
- Administering employee benefits and/or payroll in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system or similar.
- Providing data support to payroll and benefits staff supporting employee benefits management.
- Providing information to and answering questions from employees, supervisors, leadership, and other internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, well-qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:
- Administering State of Wisconsin or other public sector employee benefits.
- Processing benefit events within an ERP system such as Peoplesoft - Human Capital Management (HCM).
- Developing training materials or job aids on topics related to HR, payroll and/or benefits.
- Interpreting and applying benefits policies, procedures, laws, or regulations.
