The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill Dietitian- Clinical (.8 FTE) positions. This position is located at the Department of Corrections Central Office (3099 E Washington Ave Madison, WI 53704)
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive clinical nutrition program which includes: nutrition assessments, education, intervention, monitoring and evaluation. The Registered Dietitian also develops and provides nutrition education to patients as needed, and plans therapeutic and religious diets for the individuals housed at Department of Corrections institutions, centers and schools. This includes planning for persons in the care of the Dept. of Corrections who may have intellectual disabilities and may also present with mental health or behavior issues. The Dietitian will assist management with Food Service Programs. The Dietitian will provide education to Food Service and Health Care staff as needed.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 11-04 with pay starting from $55515 to $81681 annually . Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting . The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
Shift: 0.8 FTE- days of the week will be determined upon hire.
T his position has the flexibility of a hybrid in-office and remote work schedule of up to 1 day per week.
Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Registration or eligibility for registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics-US.
Certification or eligibility for certification as a "certified dietitian" in the State of Wisconsin as provided under WI Statutes 448.70 through 448.94.
Applicants hired without both the registration and certification above must achieve both within the first six months of hire and maintain them during employment.
