The Division of Management Services, Office of Records Management is recruiting to fill a Digital Records Compliance Specialist (Records/Forms Management Specialist) vacancy located at 3099 E. Washington Ave., Madison, WI.
Position Summary

This position performs professional work utilizing technology tools for the review, redaction, and quality control of text, video, and audio records related to the management of public records and internal DOC needs. This position is responsible for assisting with the Department’s public records redaction program which consists of, but is not limited to, performing the following: records analysis, assisting in developing record redaction policies, conducting redaction activities, and administering redaction training. The position assists with policy development, establishment of program goals and program reviews. This position provides general assistance and training to others. The scope and complexity of work includes a wide range in types of public records requests.
Salary Information

The starting pay is between $42952 and $70782 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 07-04. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Job Details

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment.

NOTE: This position is eligible to work remotely up to 3 days per week.
Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
  • Utilizing computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) to create or manage reports, spreadsheets, memos, etc.
  • Performing liaison work to various audiences and stakeholders.
  • Developing, interpreting, and communicating policies and procedures.
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have training and/or experience:
  • Conducting text and/or video redactions.
