The Division of Adult Institution is recruiting to fill a Financial Program Supervisor position . This position is based out of Redgranite Correctional Institution located in Redgranite, WI.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the supervision, planning, coordinating and evaluation all business services at Redgranite Correctional Institution, which houses medium security adult male persons in our care (PIOC). Responsibilities and activities include assistance with budget development and implementation, monitoring of all institution funds, maintenance of the institution’s accounting system, delegated procurement functions, PIOC accounts, institution’s capital assets and equipment, capital and store’s inventories, oversight of the financial operation of the institution canteen and supervision of staff assigned to the Business Office. This position must adhere to the provision of all Wisconsin Statutes dealing with the fiscal operations of the institution (including, but not limited to, Chapter 301 and 304 Corrections; Chapter 16 DOA Fiscal; Chapter 19 General Duties of Public Officials; and Chapter 20 Budget) and is expected to have a full understanding of/apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Auditing Standards (GAAS).
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule/range 81-03 with an annual salary of $55889 - $92206, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A 12-month probationary period is required .

Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
Managing, leading, and/or overseeing the work of others (e.g. training, advising, reviewing work, etc.)
Monitoring and auditing financial transactions to ensure accuracy (e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.)
Creating and maintaining financial reports and databases with various software (i.e. Excel, PeopleSoft).
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience with :
Formally supervising the work of other staff (e.g. hiring, performance evaluations, discipline, dismissal, settling grievances, etc.)
Performing inventory control activities (e.g. maintaining records, performing audits, reconciling discrepancies, etc.)
Performing purchasing activities (e.g. requisitions/orders, bids, compliance, budget monitoring, etc.)
