Position Summary
Under general review from the Information Technology Director, this position completes service incidents and requests from Managers and Supervisors for desktop support, including set-up of software, hardware, other technology equipment, and access for employees. This position also functions as a technical support consultant for the planning, testing, installation, troubleshooting and support of workstations, laptops, and applications for each of the State Public Defender Offices.

Salary Information
The salary for this position is between $34.16 and $52.40 per hour. Pay on appointment for current or former state employees may vary based on the applicable provisions in the State Compensation Plan. This position is in Pay Schedule/Range 07-33. Salary will depend on experience and qualifications and will be based on rules that apply in the current complenstation plan.
Permanent classified state employees who are eligible for consideration (transfer, voluntary demotion, or reinstatement) for a position assigned to the stated pay range or counter-part pay range, should complete the application process as described above by the stated deadline.
Final selected candidates may be eligible for moving expense reimbursement to relocate to the place of employment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required – Candidates must have experience and/or training relevant to these areas in order to be considered for this position):
1. Installing, updating, supporting and troubleshooting Windows Operation system, computers, peripherals, moblle devices and smartphones and IT accessories (e.g., external hard drives, keyboards, mice, etc.)
2. Service Desk methodologies, Service Desk Software, file and storage management tools, and enterprise collaboration tools (e.g., O365, Google Applications, etc.)
3. Maintaining and tracking IT assess inventory
A well-qualified candidate will also have experience and/or training in the following areas:
1. Providing IT customer troubleshooting, support, consultation for a diverse customer base and technical needs
2. Supporting complex IT projects (e.g., Analyzing IT requirements, researching IT hardware/software/tools/services, familiarity with Cloud based software or services, or similar)
3. Purchasing and reconciliation of IT assets, peripherals, smart phones, mobile devices, software and accessories
