Introduction
The Department of Financial Institutions is seeking a dedicated, talented, and expert level SQL Server DBA (IS Data Services Consultant/Administrator) to lead and support strategic planning, provide consulting, and be resourced on existing and road-mapped projects that use or will migrate to SQL Server databases.
This full-time permanent position is headquartered at the Hill Farms State Office Building on the near west side of Madison. We are also conveniently located close to the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment of the Hilldale Mall.

Position Summary
In this role, you will provide expert SQL Server database administration, support and consulting on several major active enterprise projects using SQL Server as the primary database. This position will also direct, plan, and consult on the strategic use of SQL Server databases in the cloud (e.g., Azure), as well as enterprise platforms.
Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (07-32) with an annual salary of $93,600 - $106,828 (or $45 - $51.36 per hour), plus excellent benefits. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants must detail having experience in all the following in order to be considered:
- Working with the administration of SQL Server databases
- Performing SQL Server disaster recovery and performance monitoring procedures
- Performing SQL and/or PL/SQL tuning
In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will also detail having experience with one or more of the following:
- Working with SQL Server systems architecture
- Providing consultation on database design/standards
- Leading teams to implement emerging database solutions
