Racine Youthful Offender Correctional Facility is seeking a qualified individual to fill a Treatment Specialist 2, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), position located in Racine, Wisconsin.
Position Summary
This position formulates and implements individual and group assessments, case plans, and treatment in the areas of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and Behavior Modification. The specialist will have oversight responsibilities for multiple behavior modification and treatment groups at RYOCF to insure the program includes performance outcome objectives, performance measures, and audit instruments as part of the program designs. With RYOCF management, the specialist will design and develop an institution wide continuum of program delivery to serve the population and identify criteria to measure adequate, effective, and efficient program delivery. The position will address staff training and technical assistance needs. The Treatment Specialist 2 will conduct cognitive behavioral programming, anger management, domestic violence, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness programming, male trauma survivor group, and re-entry for the entire institution.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule/range 12-63 with an annual salary of $47088 - $88150 plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $2,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1000 on the first paycheck and $1000 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually 1 year).
To receive the bonus , a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in that position for a year . I f the candidate l eave s their position prior to completing the one year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment.

Qualifications
Special Requirement:
Current Substance Use Disorder (SUD) certification from the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS), in the form of a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).
In addition to the required SUD certification, minimally qualified applicants will have experience in the following:
Implementing and monitoring case plans of participants and determining individual treatment needs.
Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans and providing case management
Facilitating treatment groups
In addition to the above, a well-qualified applicant will have experience with the following:
Participating in multi-disciplinary teams or approaches to meet an objective
Addressing staff training and technical assistance needs
