Sales, Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
The Sales, Shipping and Receiving Coordinator position is responsible for selling steel products, fabrications, and services provided by State Steel. The coordinator will answer phones, tend to the front desk assisting customers. In conversation with customers, the coordinator, will ask questions, and help uncover customers needs. The coordinator will prepare quotes and orders per customer demand and will follow up on orders/quotes. The successful candidate will utilize tools to evaluate the steel market to grow sales and the customer service experience.
The Coordinator will assist inbound customers and coordinate order pickups with the warehouse staff. This position requires a high level of communication to amongst internal employees, departments, and branches. The Coordinator must be highly capable of such communication, in person, over the phone, as well as written form; e-mails, letters and fax.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Some early mornings, possible weekends and evenings may be required.

Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound and existing customers.
- Understand customer needs and requirements of customer needs.
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects.
- Partner with current sales staff to build pipeline and close deals.
- Coordinate, and track inventory product to ensure product is processed and shipped correctly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Requirements
- Proven customer service experience.
- Strong phone presence with an ability to build relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong listening and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Prior knowledge of warehouse operations environment and receiving/ shipping process.
