Duties Description Are you interested in starting or advancing your career with New York State? Greater Binghamton Health Center is recruiting for a Licensed Psychologist. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.
As a Licensed Psychologist, you would supervise and / or provide professional psychological services. In addition to assessment and treatment, your duties may include : clinical leadership; program management; forensic or court-ordered assessment, treatment and expert testimony; psychological services requiring expertise in neuropsychology, child and adolescent psychology, geropsychology, sex offense treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, trauma, and substance and / or chemical abuse programs; specialized assessment (functional, personality, risk, competency, vocational, education); design and application of behavioral technology and other specialized psychological interventions; individual, group or family therapy; crisis intervention; consultation to other agencies; training; and peer review.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered to practice Psychology in New York State.
Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b / 55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
