Reilly Architectural, located in Calverton, NY, needs another New York City based Installation Team. Looking for an additional 3 Installers living and working in New York City. Position Qualifications
We are looking for a self-starter, experienced Installer with an aptitude for math, an eye for detail and quality, able to work under minimal supervision, and successfully collaborate with colleagues. An energetic team player with a positive and cooperative attitude completing a minimum of a high school education (GED is acceptable) along with 3-5 years of related experience. The successful candidate must possess:
- NYCDOB OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- NYCDOB 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User certification
- Experience working at active NYC construction sites as well as an understanding of applicable safety policies and procedures.
- an understanding of standard window and door construction,
- the ability to read cut lists and blueprints,
- the ability to travel out of town for installation projects in other states, and
- proficiency in the use of tape measures and calipers for dimensional accuracy.
Related skills and abilities preferred but not required include:
- Prior experience with window and door installation
- Prior experience with general carpentry techniques
- Prior experience with creative problem-solving
- General construction principles
This position is within our Field Services unit, which may require periods of standing, kneeling, walking, bending, lifting, and/or otherwise handling of materials which may include partially or fully assembled units. Must be able to lift, carry, and move materials as heavy as 75 lbs. individually and/or units exceeding 75 lbs. via “Team-Lift” operation. May include working from ladders, scissor lifts, scaffolding, or other complex locations for periods of time. Many times, work is performed outdoors.
