Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed annual sales goals and objectives
- Exhibit strong operational knowledge of dedicated logistics and competitive trends within the transportation industry
- Contact prospective customers and develop carrier relationships to support customer freight needs
- Serve as a resource to solve customer needs, including transportation, warehousing, and packaging rates for additional services and contract interpretation
- Communicate regularly with assigned customers, including attendance at performance review meetings and new business initiatives
- Work with key stakeholders to determine rates for required services and present proposals to customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
- 3-5 years sales experience in the transportation industry
- Knowledge of brokerage customers and shippers required
- TMS (Transportation Management Software) experience preferred
- Sales CRM experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and Excel
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills
