The Transportation Sales Executive will drive revenue growth to meet company sales objectives. Must have a sound business understanding to be able to develop actions plans, effectively use operating budgets, identify / analyze business trends specific to opportunities and challenges in the marketplace, and make decisions that will support the overall sales and profit objectives. Will be responsible for cultivating relationships with active customers using on-the-spot sales and negotiation skills while always focusing on growing long-term relationships and the financial goals of the organization. This role excels at problem solving, communication, and teamwork in a fast paced, high energy and competitive work environment.
This is a rare opportunity to serve as a Salesperson for an ESOP, where you will directly benefit from your sales efforts. This position would be based onsite at any of our Southern California area offices.
Experience Required :
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
- 3-5 years sales experience in the transportation industry
- Knowledge of brokerage customers and shippers required
- TMS (Transportation Management Software) experience preferred
- Sales CRM experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Word, and Excel
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
