Description
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes. This role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products.
Qualifications
• Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical support and guidance to the manufacturing team, ensuring processes are optimized for productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in quality, cost, and throughput.
• Collaboration: Work with design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability and scalability.
• Equipment Management: Select, validate, and implement new equipment and technologies to improve manufacturing capabilities.
• Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Mentorship: Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Project Management: Lead and manage projects to implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
• Other tasks as needed by Manager
Required Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles, with hands-on experience in process development and improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and project management.
Additional Skills and Experience
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and applications.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related methodologies.
