Essential Functions

1. Monitors all assigned client sourcing requests either via project management tool(s) or requests received via phone or email to ensure continuity of patient care within 24 business hours.
2. Procures equipment, supplies and services and negotiates fair pricing based on internal policies and procedures to ensure fair market pricing.
3. Enters and tracks all assigned equipment or service requests via project management tool(s) and provides real-time updates for internal stakeholders and quality department.
4. Communicates equipment and service request status to all affected internal and external customers to ensure urgent patient care needs are met in a timely manner.
5. Requests additional network management team support when/if any obstacles prevent timely processing OR could create a patient care issue.
Marginal or Additional Functions
1. Evaluates active job policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation. Will submit new ideas to supervisor for implementation consideration.
2. Protects company’s intellectual property and the privacy of customers’ data
3. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent
Supervisory and Managerial Responsibility
- This position does not have supervisory or managerial responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is preferred
Work Experience or Related Experience:
- A minimum of one year of procurement or customer service experience is required.
- A solid understanding of procurement functions is preferred.
- General business acumen required and usually obtained through work experience, education or training
- Durable medical equipment, pharmacy, managed care or other pertinent health care services industry experience is preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills are required in order to to preform the essential functions of the position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Working knowledge of a PC, business and communications software (MS Office) and web-based tools are required
- The ability to be proactive and self-directed utilizing good time management, decision-making, and organization skills is required.
- Incumbents must be able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast pace entrepreneurial environment
Travel Requirements and Conditions
- Travel requirements for this position are minimal.
Work Environment, Conditions and Demands
- Work is generally preformed in an office environment or remote setting in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions.
Physical Requirements and Demands
- Regular eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity is required to operate office equipment
