National Account Executive - Digital Marketing and Advertising
We are currently hiring for a Strategic Account Executive in our National Division, who’s ready to dive into the fast-paced world of digital advertising sales. This is an opportunity to be part of The USA TODAY national sales team that drives new and incremental dollars from heavy growth categories such as Tech, CPG, Travel, Pharma, e-commerce, and other verticals. We’re looking for great people who are passionate about redefining premium publishing through innovation, creative thinking, and embracing fun. USA Today Network National Sales team is seeking a highly motivated seller who’ll work with brand marketers and agencies on content, media and full-funnel marketing programs. In this role. new business development will be a major focus — which means you’ll be prospecting, pitching, and closing new clients while learning from a seasoned sales team. You will work from your home office and work in the West & Northwest regions. Must be located in the West or Northwest region for consideration.

What You’ll Do
- Proactively identify and reach out to new business prospects across various industries.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
- Drive digital advertising sales, while meeting and exceeding all sales goals
- Focus on identified client direct and named agencies driving performance media solutions
- Work as a partner to help clients reach their goals and initiatives
- Manage, renew and up-sell existing clients, ensure client’s KPIs are achieved
- Partner with Client Solutions & Account Management to prepare proposals and ensure that client's KPIs/needs are met
- Stay current on online advertising trends and innovations
- Receive coaching and feedback with an open mind, applying it quickly to your sales approach.
- Participate and represent USA TODAY NETWORK and LocaliQ at local industry events
Requirements

- Digital fluency — Understanding of digital advertising channels (sponsorships, branded content, display, video, etc.).
- Preferred experience — 1-2 years in digital media, advertising, or marketing — ideally from an agency, brand, or media publisher side.
- Other:
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance as required by law.
- Strong business acumen.
- Able to communicate at an executive level
- Effective organization, time management and writing and presentation skills.
