We are a towing company searching for a professional and experienced dispatcher to join our dynamic team in Statewide Wrecker, Lilburn, GA
Ideal candidates will have at least two years’ experience dispatching preferably in the tow industry or the transportation industry. Exceptional customer service skills are a must along with being an excellent team player and communicator. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug and alcohol test prior to hiring and have a GA driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently dispatch drivers to the destinations.
- Input information into the computer with great attention to detail.
- Maintain correct status times of tows in the computer.
- Communicate with drivers the information to complete the call.
- Communicate with drivers to input invoice number, mileage and prices in the computer.
- Know WS customer base and the rates.
- Understand and provide appropriate estimated time of arrivals.
- Provide accurate rates and mileage to customers.
- Maintain communication with the customer to let them know status of their tow.
- Understand and provide accurate mapping information to the drivers.
- Communicate with drivers through radio.
- Develop plans to enhance the driver’s performance through management techniques.
- Ability to effectively handle pressure.
- Demonstrate responsiveness to requests from others and provide assistance when needed.
- Initiate activities to stay busy and productive during downtime.
- Maintain office supplies and necessary paperwork needed to perform the job.
- Operate a variety of standard office machines, including a personal computers and a variety of computer software, phone, fax, calculator, and photocopy machine.
- Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between customers and relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
- Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
