What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Planner/Buyer position at Static Control Components, Inc?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Inventory Planner/Buyer. Ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in a planning or buyer role. Responsible for planning and prioritizing the purchasing schedule to ensure enough products are available to meet order demand.
Duties:
- Review and monitor current inventory, take steps to make sure inventory levels remain well-stocked to successfully fulfill customer orders and maximize investments
- Communicate with vendors to ensure materials and products are received on time and intact, in the quality and at the cost agreed
- Collaborate with vendors and sales team to analyze supply trends and sales needs
- Handle shipment between vendors/3PL warehouses and SCC making sure the stock levels are where they need to be in these locations
- Manage excess inventory and determine ways to prevent over ordered and reduce excess/dead stock
- Draft weekly and monthly reports related to supply performance, inventory level and vendor performance
- Follow and work with team manager to fulfill assigned KPIs
Skills:
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications - particularly Outlook and Excel
- Experience in ERP or other inventory management system
- Good communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Willing to learn new technologies and work related skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
