Job Description
Stationery Works, a nationally recognized wholesale Stationery printing company, is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our Production Design Team. We specialize in creating keepsake papers – Wedding invitations, Bar Bat Mitzvah invitations, Baby Announcements, Milestone invitations, etc.
We are looking for a capable, dependable designer to help bring customers’ visions to life, translating customer order forms to accurate proofs that can be produced using multiple print methods. An aesthetic eye, Illustrator expertise, stationery industry experience, clear communication skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of print capabilities are all necessary to successfully provide our customers with the stationery papers that will mark their special occasions.
Core duties and responsibilities:
- Set up customer artwork and copy to order specifications on production proofs
- Double check proofs and ensure accuracy as to:
- Production success across multiple print methods
- Brand aesthetic
- Typesetting
- Turnaround
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Collaborate with Design Team to support creative collection development
- Perform prepress file preparation for plate-based printing methods
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to design quickly and efficiently within established templates
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Be proficient in spelling, proper grammar, etiquette, and proofreading
- Possess strong math skills, including units of measure
- Effectively manage multiple areas of responsibility while maintaining timelines
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Successfully work independently as well as with a team
- Welcome direction as well as demonstrate self-motivation

- Have experience in the Stationery Industry
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or greater in Graphic Design and/or commensurate experience in the Stationery Industry or Print Production
- Proficiency in PC OS
- Proficiency in latest Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience in prepress file preparation not required but definitely an asset
This is an IN OFFICE, full time, 40 hour/week position, M-F. This is not a remote work opportunity.
