Summary
Stäubli utilizes Key Account Managers (KAM) in various market focus areas to ensure we have specialized and dedicated focus to grow the specific markets. The current markets of focus include:
The T&M KAM-West USA is responsible for handling the key T&M customers and is also responsible for developing new key customers to support the growth of the markets in their territory. The main focus for KAMs are, mid- to large customers, mid-to large OEMS, mid-to large Projects and mid- to large distributors.
The KAM will also work with the Global Head of Business, KAM-East (KAM-E), Product Engineering at the factory in Germany and Staubli Windsor to ensure the product demand of the customer is met and supplied within the customer’s expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to build the market by locating, defining, and developing opportunities within the T&M market.
- Developing a solid and trusting relationship between key customers and Stäubli.
- Resolving key client issues and understand the customers product changes and life cycle needs to ensure Stäubli products remain with the customer.
- Working with design, sales team, creative, advertising, logistics, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all client needs met
- Support and engage in the execution of market specific goals from HQ.
· Prepare Monthly Status reports and collect data from sales and order information
- Direct and indirect participation in organizations and committees to promote the Stäubli T&M products and to understand the market and regulatory demands from the market.
- Must have the ability to analyze business opportunities and liaise with appropriate personnel in making sound business decisions regarding future potential and return on investment.
- Have a thorough knowledge of product applications in the T&M sector and be acutely aware of those offering the greatest potential.
- Be able to recognize the need for extensions of existing products, new products, to align with market trends and customer requirements.
- Assist in setting annual sales goals. Standards must be demanding yet attainable, and therefore reviewed and revised periodically.
- Assist in setting sales policies and ensuring they are clearly understood, followed and consistently reviewed.
- Possess strong decision-making skills and the ability to make decisions in a timely manner. Must display a willingness to take reasonable risks within the bounds of authority and accept responsibility for decisions. Decisions are to be consistent with company policies, procedures and objectives.
- Responsible to participate in Networking events, tradeshows, webinars, expert panels, certification groups, publish white papers, and other marketing events.
- Ensure all social media support the Stäubli guidelines, and self-monitor social media platforms to ensure on-going compliance and voice of Stäubli.
- Minimum of 25% travel required.
Qualifications and Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must:
· Where relevant, effectively communicates and motivates across multiple mediums both externally and internally.
· Strong presentation skills and demonstrated ability to provide updated presentations to Stäubli management as well as customers.
· Exhibit strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, CRM software, File Maker, Internet, e-mail, PowerPoint.
Education and/or Experience
· BSEE or BSME or other technical degree preferred
· Minimum 5 years of relevant technical sales background
· Proven success of company-direct sales of technical products.
