Stay and Play Pet Sitting, Inc. is a full-service, in the client’s home, pet sitting company. The pet care professionals employed by Stay and Play travel to the client’s homes to perform the pet sitting duties outlined by our customers. Services we offer:
1. Drop-In Visits
Visit the client’s home for 30 minutes to two hours 1-4 times per day to walk feed, play, exercise, and care for their pet/s
2. Live-In Overnight Stays
Spend the night at the client’s home and come and go during the day. You get eight hours of free time to do as you please per day!
3. Pet Sitting
Visit for up to eight consecutive hours. Staying with pets for the scheduled length of time to alleviate separation anxiety and play with them to entertain. Only leave to walk the dogs in that household.
Responsibilities :
Meeting with pet parents to gather pertinent pet care information and discuss pet sitting duties.
Providing pets with food and fresh water.
Ensuring the well-being, comfort, and safety of pets at all times.
Administering medication to pets according to the instructions provided by pet parents.
Exercising and engaging with pets to keep them active and happy. Which includes taking dogs out for regular walks and playing with them.
Providing regular updates to pet parents and the CEO, which include communicating over the phone, text, or via email as well as sending video clips and photos.
Promptly notify pet parents of pet illnesses or injuries that may occur.
Administering basic first aid, if necessary.
Building trust and rapport with pet parents through excellent customer service
Pay close attention to details of pet’s well-being including appetite, behavior, activity level
Regularly communicate with the CEO on availability, scheduling, and misc. client updates.
Committing to which holidays you’ll work in advance. Only take off one major holiday per year.
Summary of Qualifications:
Eligible to work in the U.S and at least 18 years of age.
Have a reliable insured vehicle to arrive at jobs within 1 hour of scheduled start time and to transport animals in the case of emergency.
Have daily access to the internet and the ability to communicate effectively by returning emails, texts, and phone calls promptly.
Have a smart phone with sufficient data that is in good functioning condition.
Active Pet CPR and First Aid Training Certification
Have at least one year of experience with, a love of, and a desire to work with dogs and cats and other companion animals.
Love people in addition to animals (this is just as much a customer service position as it is a pet care position.)
Be 100% reliable
Have the ability to take this job SERIOUSLY.
Be organized and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to consistently and repetitively walk, kneel, squat, bend, lift, push, pull, grasp, and balance while walking/ caring for pets.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Ability to work outside during all seasons and weather conditions. (this is a VERY active position that requires hours of energy, even on rainy and hot days.)
Compensation
You are paid $17 per hour for the 3-month probationary period.
After the 3 months, depending on your performance and experience, the pay may go up $3 per hour for drop-in visits.
You are paid every 2 weeks via direct deposit into your bank account through payroll.
Payroll is submitted every other Monday. The direct deposit will enter your account 2-3 days after submission. Your bank oversees when the direct deposit hits your account within that time frame.
Your compensation for overnight sitting is 60%.
Your compensation for meeting with clients is hourly.
Gratuities are 100% yours!
Mileage reimbursement is $0.655 per mile
