Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and temperaments, ensuring their well-being while facilitating playtime and socialization. Your love for animals and commitment to their care will be essential in creating a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, ensuring safety and proper behavior.
- Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area, including regular cleaning of kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Feed and provide fresh water to dogs as per their dietary requirements.
- Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's day.
- Handle dogs safely using proper restraint techniques when necessary.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to animal care and handling.
Skills
- Experience as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is a plus.
- Strong pet care skills, including understanding dog behavior and needs.
- Proficiency in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during handling.
- Knowledge of pet grooming practices is beneficial.
- Familiarity with kennel operations and dog care routines.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving large dog crates or supplies.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Experience in dog handling, ensuring safe interactions among different breeds.

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
