Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, ensuring that all pets receive the highest standard of care while they are in our facility. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the daily care of animals, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent service to our pets and their owners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, cleaning, and exercising dogs.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other facility spaces.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff.
- Administer daily medications to boarders.
- Handling the preparation of all meals, food additives, medications, or any other requests from pet owners during their stay.
- Maintaining all yards for dogs, such as; poop scooping and/ or outdoor cleaning.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or larger animals safely.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for both animals and staff.
Skills:
- MUST have Experience in animal handling, including knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques.
- Background as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in pet sitting or dog handling to ensure comfort and safety for all animals in care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to animal care and facility maintenance.
- Upkeep on kennel equipment and or property fencing is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling during each pets Stay.

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
