Facilities Attendant - Housekeeping/Engineering –

Staybridge Suites Clermont Southeast is located at 3440 S US Highway 27, Clermont, FL. Our focus service hotel is looking for a facilities attendand, assiting both the housekeeping and engineering departments, to join our busy and professional team and be part of an amazing hotel opening. Ideally, you'll have some prior experience in a hotel environment, be able to demonstrate initiative and be someone who has the reputation for delivering great service and being fun to work with.
Essential Job Functions
- Basic building and plumbing repairs.
- Basic HVAC repairs.
- Cleaning/Maintaining of building, grounds and parking lot.
- Clean/Maintain Pool and pool area according to hotel standards.
- Empty and clean garbage cans.
- Inventory of supplies and parts used for repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner.
- Responds to guest needs in order to resolve room maintenance issues.
- Submit orders as needed to GM/AGM for order/purchase.
- Basic knowledge of televisions, phones and alarm clocks.
- Run errands as needed, pick up/deliver supplies (Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record).
- Follow all safety policies and procedures as instructed.
- Maintain an active Preventative Maintenance program, including documentation.
- Research potential solutions/vendors for issues that require a professional.
- Assist Housekeeping and any other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
General Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to communicate in a clear professional manner.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work scheduled hours and be on time.
- Ability to lead by example. Hospitable to the public.
- Basic math skills.
- Fluent in verbal skills and written communications in English.
- Familiar with computers, internet, Opera, Quore and email.
- Must be well organized and provide follow-up in a timely manner.
Work Environment & Other
- Ability to move from guest room to guest room with exposure to the extremes of the climate of the location.
- Ability to clean floors and hard to reach areas by hand.
- Ability to use arms to load and unload machines and fold laundry.
NECK – Bending and twisting
AUDITORY - Ability to read and comprehend emergency and security information including labels and directions. Ability to communicate emergency situations to supervisor in English. Normal conversation.
HEARING - Ability to hear emergency alarms, telephone, conversations.
VISION - Legal normal vision with or without accommodation.
ARMS - Reaching, bending arms, light carrying, pushing, pulling.
HANDS - Finger dexterity, grasping
TRUNK - Bending and twisting
