A leading construction company in Greater Chicago is seeking a Corporate Traveling Accounting Manager to oversee and support accounting teams across multiple locations. This role ensures compliance with company policies, provides training, and assists with financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and support accounting staff on company policies, ERP systems, and payroll processes.
- Assist with M&A due diligence and onboarding new acquisitions.
- Evaluate accounting team performance and recommend training or improvements.
- Ensure compliance with delegation of authority, audit, tax, and credit policies.
- Support financial analysis for Operating Unit Presidents.
- Collaborate with IT for ERP updates and troubleshooting.
- Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing end-user support.
- This role requires up to 50% travel based on M&A activity and support needs. The position is based in Rosemont, IL. Additional travel details can be provided.
Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. in Accounting with 5 years of construction accounting experience.
- Expertise in percentage completion/job cost accounting.
- Multi-company, multi-location experience.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel is a must
- Understanding of in-house payroll and tax filing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $130K–$140K Bonus
