Job Overview
We are looking at add to the Steadfast team! We are currently looking to hire at least one person who is fully available and has an interest in working as a barista and helping in the kitchen some days. We have a great community that enjoys working together and we are looking to add to that community! We have a small breakfast and lunch menu for food, a great coffee menu with rotating seasonal drinks, and pastries that we make in house! The right person for our team is someone who is driven, passionate, hardworking, and excited to grow! We have a great team and cannot wait to meet the next person to add to the team!
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using Square POS or similar systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices at all times.
- Helping deep clean throughout the week! Assisting in helping prep syrups and sauces as well as stocking what is needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Help run the kitchen when kitchen manager is off by making orders as they come and prepping food items for the week.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a coffee shop or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
- A passion for community and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
- Open availability and weekend availability. Interest in working at least four days a week.
- Desire take initiative and go above and beyond.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 38 per week
