The Role:
We are looking for an Manager/Associate Director, HR Operations to join our growing team. In this new role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing HR processes from hire to retire. This includes supporting the candidate experience, on-boarding, HR technologies, benefits, compensation, performance management, employee learning, and employee engagement. As part of a small team, this is a great opportunity to learn about all facets of HR from strategy to execution to on-going process improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Hiring & On-Boarding – Responsible for supporting the entire interview process including interviewing & assessment and on-boarding; guiding Managers and Team Members through the immigration process, creates a positive and welcoming experience for all candidates & new hires; may at times support interview scheduling and coordination
Total Rewards & Performance Management – Leads the benefits design and administration process; supports various compensation related projects such as market pricing, salary submissions, year-end salary planning, budget analysis and planning; supports the end of year and mid-year performance review process including system configuration and testing, employee training and communications
Learning & Employee Engagement – Develops and implements solutions for employee development and employee engagement
HR Technologies – Serves as the subject matter expert on HR technologies; generates reports, maintains accurate data; partners closely with Finance team to provide payroll information
HR Policies & Compliance – Develops, implements, and maintains HR policies and procedures while maintaining a working knowledge of labor & employment laws; manages leave processes; guides employees and people leaders through employee relations of moderate complexity
Communications – Develops clear and compelling employee communications around employee benefits, programs & processes; partners closely with external media partners to support external communications about the team and culture; serves as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries
Special Projects – As part of a small team in a start-up environment, will participate in and /or lead special projects to improve the overall effectiveness of the team
Required Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in human resources, management, business, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in HR operations, shared services, or HR generalist field
- Strong customer service orientation, demonstrated ability to develop employee-centric processes, solutions and communications
- Strong working knowledge of HR technologies
- Strong working knowledge of employee benefits and leave administration
- Strong attention-to-detail and highly skilled at process improvement, project management, and data management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Experience with Rippling and/or Greenhouse is a plus
- Experience working in a small, startup environment where processes need to be established
- Experience with employee relations
- Experience with interviewing and selection
- Fundamental knowledge of immigration law and work permit/green card processes
