The ideal candidate will have experience representing creditors, debtors, or trustees in bankruptcy proceedings and be comfortable handling matters related to Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases. This role offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team while engaging in complex bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in bankruptcy cases, including filings, adversary proceedings, and negotiations.
- Handle motions, pleadings, and court appearances in federal bankruptcy court.
- Provide legal advice to clients on bankruptcy-related matters, including restructuring and workouts.
- Work closely with the firm’s other practice areas, particularly business transactions and real estate, to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active South Carolina Bar membership.
- At least 1 years of bankruptcy law experience, preferably in creditor and debtor representation.
- Experience handling Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases.
