We are a top decile pre-seed and seed fund with co-investment partners that include Sequoia, A16Z, Drive Capital, Madrona, Village Global and many others. Our portfolio is application layer AI in categories of aging, future of work and property tech. Our LPs are some of the most recognized single family offices in the country, and first investors in many of the top performing funds of the last decade.
We're not your typical venture fund - we operate as a venture studio where we co-found 3-5 companies each year and work alongside exceptional teams to build category-defining businesses. We do the hard work of validating business opportunities, building early product, recruiting world-class co-founding teams and then laying the groundwork for venture scale. We are today a small team of builders across business development, design, prototyping, growth and recruiting.
We are seeking a new investment partner to join our team as we scale our pace of investing and as we raise new LP capital. As a partner you will be a builder, operator, and an exceptional fundraiser - a rare human who both loves to build companies and who is also able to unlock capital from leading LPs and startup venture investors. The Partner Role and Your Background
The partner we are looking to bring on will spend their time in two areas. First and foremost you will lead much of our fundraising efforts. This is primarily raising capital from LPs into our funds. But it will also be supporting our portfolio companies in raising capital from institutional venture investors. You will also be closely involved in the validation and development of companies in our portfolio.
Your experience and competencies include :
- LP network - you have raised capital from LPs and can make a compelling argument for how you will raise $20 - $100MM LP capital over the next handful of years if you joined our team.
- Startup investing - you have a track record of venture investing and a portfolio with markups to show for it. This could be as an investor for a venture fund or as an angel.
- Operator and founder - in addition to a track record as a quality investor, you also have operator experience for a high growth venture backed startup, ideally as a founder. If not as a founder, then in a role where you drove significant impact.
- Bias for Action and Velocity - you move fast, often exceptionally fast.
- Low Ego - you are low ego and high EQ. People like you and consider you to be an exceptional human with a great value structure and an ethos where you treat people well.
- Builder motivated - You are a builder at your core and this is evidenced in your work and things you do outside of work. You’ll have good evidence of a lifetime of building new things.
