Position Objective
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Meets, greets, screens and provides relevant information and resolves a high volume of inquiries regarding local resources and program services.
2. Evaluates and provides specialized instructions to clients and business partners regarding program criteria, verification of requirements, and assisting with incomplete or incorrect paperwork to support efficient and timely service delivery.
3. Researches and performs elements of case initiation and case disbursement including screening applications and preparing referrals for further processing.
4. Schedules appointments, meetings and interpreters.
5. Receives and receipts payments from clients.
6. Receives and processes court and law enforcement orders, reports and documents.
7. Performs coding, scanning, database inquiries, data entry and routing of forms and client documents.
8. Enters, retrieves and looks up client information in various software systems, transcribes narrative and compiles statistical reports.
9. Issues EBT and WIC cards and information for accessing benefits.
10. Receives requests for access to data, analyzes and completes preliminary classification of data, redacts as necessary and prepares draft response.
11. Assists with maintaining electronic and physical filing systems of active and inactive client records and documents.
12. Performs record maintenance, including scanning and indexing documents in various databases.
13. Processes incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and other material.
14. Assists with gathering statistics for federal, state and local reports.
15. Attends training and meetings to maintain knowledge of policy, software and process changes.
16. Assists with training team members and develops instructional materials.
17. Attends work regularly and in a timely manner.
18. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Minimum Qualifications and Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- One year of post-secondary education and two years of clerical, administrative or customer service experience; OR four years of clerical, administrative or customer service experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office or a similar computer software technology

Work Environment and Physical Demands
The primary responsibilities for this position will be performed approximately 100% of the time indoors. May require minimal travel to off-site locations. Will have minimal exposure to health hazards and accidents; requires a low to moderate level of physical effort. All employees are required to reside within the state of Minnesota.

Work is performed under the general supervision of the Office Services Supervisor.

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; may include hours outside of normal work hours on occasion.
