Position ObjectiveTo greet park visitors, sell parking permits, and provide information on park facilities and programs in a manner that will create and maintain a favorable image of Stearns County Parks.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThese examples do not include all possible responsibilities in this position and do not limit the assignment of related duties to this classification.1. Greet park visitors at gate entrance or assigned location.2. Provides information on facilities and programs.3. Sells seasonal and daily parking permits.4. Follows procedures regarding cash handling and daily record keeping.5. Prepares and processes daily deposits.6. Records visitor use data and completes required forms.7. Picks up trash at park entrance.8. Issues tickets to vehicles without parking passes.9. Attends work regularly and in a timely manner.10. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Minimum QualificationsIn order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following: Must be at least 18 years of age or will be by May 2025Preferred Experience Beyond Minimum Qualifications: Experience handling and collecting moneyWorking with limited supervision Selling tickets/passes for admission to placesDesirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities1. Ability to demonstrate maturity and responsibility when handling money.2. Ability to communicate with the public in a positive, friendly, and helpful manner.3. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public.4. Ability to understand and follow simple verbal or written instructions.5. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
